Mercedes sales increase 13 percent in 2014

Pune : The company of luxury cars from Germany, Mercedes Benz has ended 2014 with sales of 10,201 units, representing a growth of 13% over 2013, when it sold 9,003 units.

The company said that the company has seen double-digit growth for the second consecutive year.

Mr Eberhard Kern MD & CEO of Mercedes-Benz India said that “We have recorded the highest-ever sales in the history of Mercedes-Benz in India till date. We are satisfied that our customer-oriented efforts have paid off well.”

Mr Kern said that during 2014, Mercedes Benz witnessed strong demand growth leading to long waitlist on some of the key products, which eventually limited the total sales numbers.

The company launched 10 new models, expanded its network by adding 14 new outlets and launched the new pre-owned brand ‘Mercedes-Benz Certified’ with the inauguration of 12 outlets simultaneously.

Shut Facebook for a day : Idea for Zuckerberg

Shut Facebook for a day : Idea for Zuckerberg

If the customer is always right, then Facebook boss Mark Zuckerberg needs to consider shutting down the social media giant for one day a year. The suggestion is one of the more subversive among the tens of thousands of responses to Zuckerberg's request for ideas he should consider for his 2015 New Year challenge — an annual event that has become a fixture in the Facebook calendar.

Anthony Fergusson said he should close down the website for 24 hours "with the aim of encouraging people to talk to a new person in real life who they have never spoken with before".

Others had the same idea likening the day off to "a purge" where people would do something more constructive with their time. Zuckerberg, who replied to several ideas, has yet to respond to that one. Daniel Cooper suggested he "broaden his perspective" by doing "one menial task per week.

That is, take over a shift for your janitor, someone in the cafeteria, work a shift at Starbucks. Just try to get your feet on the ground with what some people do". Eradicating game requests was a popular suggestion with one user claiming he would win a Nobel Prize if users who sent Candy Crush saga requests could be deleted.

Best APP to check whether Someone is Spying on You

Best APP to check whether Someone is Spying on You

London: A new app called SnoopSnitch can detect International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) catchers by keeping a tab if someone is spying on you.
IMSI catchers are eavesdropping devices used for intercepting mobile phone traffic and tracking the movement of smartphone users, media reports said.
Security experts recently revealed a massive security flaw that could let hackers listen in on private calls and read text messages on mobile networks.

One way in which such hackers get access to such information is by using IMSI catchers or 'stingrays'.
SnoopSnitch can detect IMSI catchers and warn smartphone users if their devices are giving up their personal information and connecting to them.
The app scans for signals that indicate a switch from a legitimate tower to a 'stingray', where information may be being collected.
The app currently works with Android handsets that have Qualcomm chips inside such as Sony and Samsung Galaxy models.
